Dear Lovely Blog Followers
Thank you for all your comments, they are very much appreciated.
I was hoping to pick you brains. I'll try not to do this too often. I am about to enter a writing competition to try to realise a goal I have to get something published. It is for a magazine and I'm sure the competition will be intense. I'd like to think I have a reasonable chance.
They want writing about anything but have said it should be witty, well written, real, interesting and honest. I think I can manage that.
What I was hoping you would help me with is to tell me which of my posts stand out for you, is there anything you have read on my blog that you have remembered or that has particularly interested you. I am just hoping to get an idea of what sort of topics I could cover.
I have some ideas but too many and need to make some selections.
I'd be really grateful for any feedback you can give. Getting published has been on my to do list for a long time.
Thank you

Hey that's great and I hope you get published. Chances are pretty good if I picked something out it wouldn't be the best choice. That's based on my own posts though. Usually when I think I've posted something great, it's not. Then if I post something I think is less than stellar, people rave about it. I'm not much help, am I?
Hi, that's sort of my problem too, often when I post something I am really pleased with I get few comments. Then I post a picture or something silly and get a mega response. I don't trust my own judgement.
Yay! That's great news...contests are super exciting. Anyways, I loved the post about your online shopping binge...and all the dog bags that were to be arriving. I also quite liked the magpie one too.
Sometimes the greatest posts just have no room for comments!
It's easier to comment on something silly for simple folk like me. ;)
I got hooked on the doggie drama, but that's not a very good topic where you have to be witty.
I was most moved by the letter you wrote to your parents...brutal and honest; I felt the pain. But, that wasn't witty either.
Sorry, no help from me. I know you'll do brilliantly!
I have to say, I’m pretty much the same as Just Plain Tired; every time I think I’ve got something any good, it falls flat on its face. And whenever I’m not sure of something, it becomes popular.
For what it’s worth, I really like your recent ghost stories. So, with that in mind, it’s probably best not to use those :)
Whatever you go for, you should do well. Good luck!
The enigmatic, masked blogger
its been awhile but I remember the post you made about wanting to buy Mr. M. some games on the internet and then you turned around and ended up buying yourself some more "bags" and such. Then you were wondering if you had enough to still get Mr. M. something.
thats one.
some of your Ghosty stories
Love, you have multiple avenues to write about. Don't focus on one, just let your mind runaway and you will be amazed at what you will do.
Well, that one about the three perspectives about the possiblity or not of being pregnant made me cry, so I would go with that one.
Just in case you don't remember it: http://midnitemutter.blogspot.com/2010/07/alternative-perspectives.html
Thanks again for that cry!
