Something a bit different, this is an old song from the North East of England. Trust me when I say they are singing in English. The language is Geordie but the setting is around the River Wear which isn't really in Geordie Land, its more Sunderland. Anyway hope you like a taste of the North East:

I though Americans with southern accents were hard to understand. Are you sure this is English?
Haha, Nana I was thinking the same thing. I caught about 50% of what they were saying. And I thought Gullah was hard to understand!!
I liked it though.
Lol, the Geordie / Newcastle accent has its own words as well as sound. There are some I find hard to follow, there is a a dictionary and everything to help translate. I personally like hadaway, meaning get away to say when you think someone is having you on.
lol heard the stories but that the first time iv heard a song about it very neat, my mum and sister's over that way so i was lucky i got bout 55% of the words;-)
